Mapala Silvagama merupakan salah satu organisasi semi otonom yang berada di Fakultas Kehutanan UGM yang aktif bergerak dibidang kepencintaalaman dan konservasi alam. Organisasi ini dirintis sejak tahun 1975 dan resmi berdiri pada tanggal 16 April 1978 ditandai dengan pengibaran bendera di Puncak Gunung Merbabu. Semua Kegiatan Mapala Silvagama senantiasa diarahkan untuk mendukung pengembangan keilmuan, khususnya ilmu kehutanan. Hal ini didasarkan pada visi dan misi organisasi.

Visi organisasi : Terwujudnya rasa tanggung jawab dan kemampuan anggota yang tinggi dalam usaha konservasi alam dengan basis ilmu bidang kehutanan dan/atau keterampilan kepecinta-alaman untuk kepentingan masyarakat. read more
